Theater of the Disturbed
I’m giving in to parroting the current cliche. It’s performative politics. Theater of the Disturbed. Then again, what feels all pout and posturing might actually have a purpose.
Is a collective angst being stage managed to an appreciation of individual political anarchy? Maybe; as a cure for all the personal dread. Is this the performative Hard Right hawking an ideological Red Pill? Like,… let’s all get buzzed and disquiet any and all democratic government entity we can get elected to.
What was the lesson of Jan 6th? Doesn’t matter, says these elected thespians. We’ve got a better acting method. Get elected and then just shut it down. Make all uncomfortable as you can. Gum it up. Dumb it down. And even better. No need for bleeding cops, broken glass, not even a damn bull-horn.
Hey, you watching America? They have shut down the Congress Of The United States. The Peoples House. The very seat of our democracy.
Pay attention. What’s going on in the District is truly important.
Yep, this minority of one is watching. And yep, you make a damned good point. I hadn’t thought of it that way till now. It’s chilling.
Yep, back. And thanks. Think “propaganda of the deed.” And chilling it all be.
It’s rather frightening and upsetting the state in which we are currently. *Shakes head*
Indeed head shaking…and unfortunately that could be our default response for some time. Thanks trE
I don’t know where we go from here
yep, and obviously neither does the GOP. Thanks
