Dark Light

Leaf Peeping

I guess it’s autumn
And that oughta be my anthem
Cause… certain as lengthening
shadows
I’m headed for a fall

A retrocede of my own doing
I’m a serious serial backslider
An aging apostate back talker
past peak cheek
to bygone irreverence

And ain’t that intolerable
And ain’t that inevitable
And ain’t that discernible
By this plea masquerading
As a protest

Not Quite A sing Along

Cadence

two things...two bon-mots... motley tone-poem...and monochrome mutter of a poesy.
